What I Do

Apart from completing opera studies at university in the last few years, I have undergone two years of intensive voice coaching and developed an extensive repertoire which has given me a particular edge as a pedagog and performer. 

    Principally my experience has been gleaned as a solo performer, with the accent hitherto on Romantic repertoire for ten-string guitar and the guitar song canon by the eminent composers from the same period, without neglecting the 20th. centurty. Am I currently the only guitarist who is playing the Beethoven Sonata, Variations by Respighi, and Terry Riley's Barabas?

    It has been a privilege to work with various instrumentalists (mostly in duos with flute, violin, 'cello or piano) such as Einar Steen- Nøkleberg and Geir Henning Bråten   

As well as serving as a soloist with choirs such as Cecælieforening and Con Amore, I am also a seasoned chorister with, among others, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra Choir.  

   This is all in addition to singing and playing folk, rock and blues music in clubs and pubs around England, Scotland and (most recently) Norway .
